Kim Appleby was half of the sister duo Mel & Kim known in the mid 80’s for bringing producer trio Stock Aitken Waterman their first number one single with the hit "Respectable". The sisters had the chance to only release four hit singles and an album before younger sister Melanie tragically died of cancer in early 1990.
