Dean Cain, Jay Thomas and Teri Polo are all engaged in the final round of negotiations to join forces in the ensemble indie drama Material Lies.
In the film, Cain, who rocketed to stardom playing Clark Kent on TV's Lois And Clark, would play Josh, a struggling actor stricken with leukemia. He organizes a weekend reunion with his college circle of friends, among them his ex, Ginni, played by Polo, who held her own against an uber-crotchety Robert DeNiro in Meet The Parents and
Meet The Fockers. Thomas will portray a friend who helps Josh convince his friends that he is successful and powerful. Therein lies the "lies" of the film's title.
The film is scheduled to begin production in Malibu in June.
