The Brothers Wachowski are trying their hands at martial arts. Andy Wachowski and Larry Wachowski, whose brotherly bonded careers skyrocketed thanks to their directorial work on The Matrix trilogy, will produce Ninja Assassin, a martial arts flick.

Rick Yune and Korean singer-actor Rain have been cast in the pic. Rain portrays an orphan raised on a ninja farm, with Yune playing a ninja on the same farm. Rain's character will exit the compound to try and make a life for himself in the modern world, outside of the ninja tradition, a move that doesn’t sit well with Yune's character and therein lies the film's conflict. Naomie Harris and Ben Miles are also slated to star.

The Wachowskis, lauded in the film world for their visually arresting style, most recently directed Speed Racer, which is scheduled to open this weekend.
