An acute case of laryngitis has forced Avril Lavigne to postpone six shows in California and Washington. Lavigne's announcement comes just days after her cancelled shows in Phoenix and San Diego.
"My sincerest apologies to all of my fans," Lavigne said in an online statement. "My intention was to complete the rest of the tour but tonight at sound check in Anaheim I realized this wasn't possible."
Refunds are available at the point of purchase starting today. It's not clear if any of Lavigne's "Best Damn Tour" dates will be rescheduled or not.
The postponed stops:
5/3 Anaheim, CA - Honda Center
5/4 Universal City, CA - Gibson Amphitheater
5/6 Santa Barbara, CA - Santa Barbara Bowl
5/7 San Jose, CA - HP Pavilion
5/9 Spokane, WA - Spokane Arena
5/10 Everett, WA - Comcast Arena/Everett Events Center
