In the wake of the expectation-exceding, super success of last week's Iron Man starring Robert Downey, Jr., the studio announced the sequel will bow on April 30, 2010. Thor, based on the hammer-wielding hero, is scheduled for release on June 4, 2010. 2011 will be the year of the Avengers, with The First Avenger: Captain America set to hit theaters on May 6. The Avengers, featuring Iron Man, Captain America, Thor and The Incredible Hulk, will follow in July. Movie fans will get an overdose of superheros in the next few years, but somehow, we doubt they will be complaining.
In the meantime, The Incredible Hulk, starring Edward Norton as the not-so-jolly green giant, will steamroll into theaters on June 13. Keep your eyes peeled for the Stan Lee walk on appearance that is staple of Marvel movies.
