"Religulous" Outbreak This Fall

Documentary gets bumped to October release
The film, which is tagged as "the nonfiction film about the greatest fiction ever told," was scheduled to bow this summer, purposely amid summer blockbusters, but Lionsgate bumped the film because it wasn't ready to be presented at major spring film fests like Cannes. The studio is waiting to launch it at prestigious fall festivals to make sure that the film gets the attention it deserves.
The doc was directed by Larry Charles, who also directed the laugh fest Borat. The combination of comedy minds like Maher and Charles and the lightning rod subject matter is sure to make for a hilarious, searing documentary.
