Logos and uniforms to be used
Breakfast With Scot, a film about a gay former NHL star-turned-sportscaster and his partner, whose separate professional and personal lives are threatened by the arrival of a gay nephew, has been sanctioned by the NHL and the Toronto Maple Leafs, allowing the film to use its logos and uniforms. This approval is a landmark event, as it's the first time a pro sports organization has done so for a film with gay themes.
Here Films has acquired the film's rights and its sister company Regent will release the film on a wider scale this fall. Tom Cavanagh and Ben Shenkman will star as the non-stereotypical gay couple.
