This Film is On compiles videos made to accompany songs from the band's 1991 smash Out of Time. The famous videos for "Losing My Religion" and "Shiny Happy People" appear alongisde other more obscure, artful videos that never had a prayer of making their way into heavy rotation on MTV or VH1. The band's version of the Troggs' "Love is All Around" from Unplugged is also included. The best videos included here are simply dazzling, often employing faded color tones to match the mood of a particular song, whether on the ebullient "Near Wild Heaven" or the plaintive "Country Feedback." Even the less memorable clips are sufficient to remind viewers that it is in fact possible for a bit of art to creep into the music video form. ~ Brian Egan, All Music Guide
