    All Music Guide Review

No Wrapping Required: A Christmas Album takes the modern route, featuring turn-of-the-century popular country performers rather than the traditional Bing Crosbys and Nat "King" Coles. Some of the more noteworthy performers here include Ricky Skaggs ("Reunion Song"), Aaron Tippin ("Jingle Bell Rock"), and Shedaisy ("That's What I Want for Christmas"). There's a welcome sense of variety among the songs featured: There are all-time favorites like "Christmas Song" and "White Christmas" as well as more idiosyncratic fare like "Tennessee Christmas" and "Mary, Did You Know?" Overall, one of the better modern country collections out there, even if it's a little skimpy at only 11 songs. ~ Jason Birchmeier, All Music Guide
