    Amándote a la Italiana

    04/09/2002 | Emi Latin

    All Music Guide Review

Born in Puerto Rico but raised in Mexico, Luis Miguel became a Latin teen pop star in the early '80s after releasing Directo Al Corazón, Decídete, and Palabra de Amor. After the huge success of his music in Central and South America, the promising young artist recorded his chart-topping hits in the Italian language. Amándote a la Italiana is a collection of those songs, including 1985 San Remo Festival finalist "Noi Ragazzi Di Oggi," dance-pop "Il Bikini Blue" (originally called "La Chica del Bikini Azul"), and the well-arranged ballad "Chiamami." Inconsistent but with merit, Amándote a la Italiana is a collectible item from Luis Miguel's teenage years, before he became refined. ~ Drago Bonacich, All Music Guide
