    Going back to the graffiti-spraying days, Ministry of Sound: Back to the Old Skool collects some of hip-hop and electro's greatest and most popular moments. You can get the Run-D.M.C., House of Pain, and Salt-N-Pepa tracks on numerous compilations, but they aren't gutsy enough to also include the like-minded electro of Man Parrish, Freez, or Hashim. Add the ultra-pop -- but quirky when you think about it -- numbers from Nu Shooz and Shannon, and you've got a righteous synth-fetishist's dream. ~ David Jeffries, All Music Guide
