Torn Again

All Music Guide Review

Peter Case returns to the form he perfected on his second album Torn Again and again turns to producers Larry Hirsch and J. Steven Soles for a collection of rock and folk songs -- and first album of original material in three years. The tone of the pop song "Baltimore" recalls his Plimsouls sound, while "Anything" and "Breaking the Chain" are gentler, metaphorical songs with a folk-rock base. More heartfelt and less hardened, Case sings for the grown-ups. ~ Denise Sullivan, All Music Guide
