I Love This Town

All Music Guide Review

Clive Gregson's solo work and collaborations with Christine Collister were marked by craftsmanlike quality, always subtle and tasteful. Despite the remarkable consistency of his output, there was always an unspoken desire for him to return to the pop days of Any Trouble among elements of his fan base. With I Love This Town, Gregson makes this return, pulling out a batch of upbeat, musically irresistible tunes. Certainly the album is more AAA-oriented than the new wave/pub rock of the Any Trouble days, but the change of pace is a welcomed one. ~ Chris Woodstra, All Music Guide
