    All Music Guide Review

Universal-distributed Water Music returns with a second Pure Chill Out compilation, once again offering a batch of innocuous laid-back rhythms and floaty textures (i.e., trip-hop MOR). Unlike the first volume, there's no one of Moby's stature present, so it doesn't quite have the name recognition of its predecessor, but it's almost as palatable since the track selection is pretty fair. However, there really isn't anything special here that you can't get from any other average chill-out compilation. Delerium makes another appearance with "Innocente," and other notable selections come from Thievery Corporation ("Bario Alto"), Underworld ("Twist"), De Phazz ("Zero Zero"), Athome Project (the Röyksopp remix of "A Feeling of Care"), and Bel Canto ("Foolish Ship"). ~ Andy Kellman, All Music Guide
