Platinum Disc's Greatest Hits of the 70's, Vol. 2 is a ten-track collection of random hits of the '70s. The songs are a mix of album rock, radio hits and soft rock with a touch of new wave (Blondie) thrown in. The selection of tracks is pretty impressive with some of the biggest hits of the era like Blue Swede's "Hooked on a Feeling," Jim Croce's "Bad, Bad Leroy Brown" and the Doobie Brothers' "China Grove" included. The only problem with the collection is the cheap-o packaging and the brevity. Add another ten songs and this might have been an essential purchase for fans of the '70s. As it is, there isn't much reason to pick this disc up unless you are looking for the smallest sliver of what the '70s were about musically. ~ Tim Sendra, All Music Guide
