GRP's Priceless Jazz is a mid-line collection that concentrates on Betty Carter's fine recordings for Peacock and ABC-Paramount during the late '60s. Although this disc could hardly be called definitive, it nevertheless offers many of her best cuts for the label, making this disc an excellent choice for neophytes and curious listeners -- it is both affordable and entertaining. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine, All Music Guide
