    All Music Guide Review

With their melodic pop song sense, driving guitars, and offbeat sense of absurd humor, Cheap Trick in many ways prefigured the alt rock explosion of the 1990s, and the best of their singles, most notably the catchy and clever "Surrender," the sly "Dream Police," and "I Want You to Want Me" have become staples of classic rock stations everywhere. This 15-song collection has all three of the above songs but lacks anything from the group's late-'80s "comeback," which was sparked by a charting version of Elvis Presley's "Don't Be Cruel" in 1988, making it somewhat of an incomplete portrait of this fine pop band. ~ Steve Leggett, All Music Guide
