One common complaint of electronica detractors is that when you listen to it any other place but the dancefloor, it all starts to sound the same after a while. But there are certainly a few exceptions to the rule, such as San Francisco-based DJ/producer Miguel Migs. While he has no problem whipping up tunes that can get a dance party hopping (such renowned artists as Britney Spears, Macy Gray, and Lionel Richie have sought out Migs for remixes), he's certainly no one-trick pony, as evidenced by his 2008 release, Those Things Remixed. Using his 2007 release, Those Things, as a starting point, other remixers put their own spin on most of the album's tracks (the only track from the original that's missing here is "Body Never Lies"). Fans of Migs and modern dance in general are sure to find a new favorite or two here, as a "Crazy P Superfunk Remix" of "Sometime" and a "Faze Action Afrotonic Re-Rub" of "Fire" take Migs' original versions even further into the dance stratosphere. ~ Greg Prato, All Music Guide
