    All Music Guide Review

Fourteen songs by 13 different artists with the word freak in every title, the funky beats and incessant grooves never quit on this collection. From Whodini's rap "The Freaks Come Out at Night" to Adina Howard's porn-ish "Freak Like Me" to the disco sounds of Chic's "Le Freak," this disc represents a variety of freak definitions and situations. Other contributors include R Kelly, Atlantic Starr, Leon Haywood's groundbreaking "I Wanta Do Something Freaky to You," and Too Short's bawdy "Freak Tales." Every artist does one song except the Bar-Kays who contribute "Freak Show on the Dance Floor" and "Freaky Behavior." ~ Andrew Hamilton, All Music Guide
